Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to bookings with South Coast DJs (“SCDJS”, “we”, “us”). By paying a deposit or confirming in writing, you agree to these terms.

1. Booking, Deposit & Payments

• A booking is secured once a $50 deposit is received. Deposits are non-refundable.
• The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 4 weeks prior to your event date.
• Late payments may result in cancellation of services without refund.

2. Services

• Services include DJ, MC, lighting, and sound as outlined in your package.
• Additional services such as photo booths or special effects must be confirmed in writing.

3. Travel & Venue Access

• We service the NSW South Coast, Illawarra, Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla, Sapphire Coast, Southern Highlands, and the ACT.
• Safe access, parking, and reliable power supply must be provided by the client or venue.

4. Setup & Pack-down

• Setup time is approximately two hours before the event start. Pack-down takes around 30–45 minutes after finish.
• Early setup or late pack-down requests may incur an additional charge.

5. Music & Requests

• You may provide playlists, must-play or do-not-play songs before the event.
• Guest song requests are accepted where suitable and at the DJ’s discretion.

6. Cancellations & Refunds

• All deposits are non-refundable once the date is booked.
• If cancellation occurs more than 4 weeks before the event, only the deposit is forfeited.
• If cancellation occurs within 4 weeks of the event, the full amount is payable.

7. Equipment & Safety

• We provide professional audio and lighting equipment with appropriate backups.
• Outdoor setups must be fully covered from rain and weather conditions.

8. Conduct & Safety

• The DJ reserves the right to stop music if guests behave dangerously or equipment safety is at risk.

9. Liability & Insurance

• South Coast DJs holds full public liability insurance and required music performance licensing.
• Client is responsible for any damage caused to DJ equipment by guests or venue staff.

10. Force Majeure

We are not liable for cancellations or performance interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our control, including extreme weather, power outages, or venue restrictions.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
